Technically, it is still the beginning of the year. But time is moving swiftly. I can’t quite believe that it is February already. FEBRUARY!? Where did January go?
By the end of January, many people have given up on their New Year’s Resolutions and have fallen back into their old patterns of living. This isn’t necessarily bad. But the question I ask myself is - which of these old habits is in line with the vision that I have for my life? Are the things that I’m doing daily allowing me to express my passions in the world?
Right now everyone seems to be talking about the terrible economy. So, it might seem like a strange time to be talking about living your passion at work, as well as in the rest of your life. However, I think that it’s the perfect time. It’s the ideal time to position yourself for…well happiness, and self expression across the board.
If you haven’t done so already, you might as well figure out what makes you happy, regardless of the money. Very few career paths are safe right now and people are scrambling to hold on to jobs that they don’t like much anyway. Is your paycheck still enough? Even if it is, are there ways to “make that paper” and still have a blast? I think that there are ways and I’m interested in spending 2009 figuring it out for myself and along with the people around me.
If you want to play, let me know. I haven’t figured out all of the rules of the game yet, but if you want someone to help hold you accountable to reaching toward your goals and dreams just let me know. I will be your passion pusher! Are you ready to make a “passion play”?
I want to hear from you. What are you passionate about? What do you wish you could do everyday and make a great living doing?
Much love,
Freda

Hey Freda!
ReplyDeleteI found the blog and have linked it to my Facebook page (I hope I did it right).
Your blog topic hits home. So sign me up to play! I am actually launching my own consulting firm where I teach this very concept to businesses, organizations, and individuals. My website it being built as we speak. I am working at a job I actually like but have always wanted to live my passion through entrepreneurship. I'll keep you posted on my venture that has been in the works for almost a year now. Thanks for your help on Facebook. Take care, Nickquolette Barrett
